The Association of Municipalities of Ontario and Conservation Ontario recently provided joint feedback to the Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks on ERO 025-1257 – Proposed Boundaries for the Regional Consolidation of Ontario’s Conservation Authorities.

Posted below is the letter that AMO and CO sent to Minister McCarthy. It outlines components of the proposed changes that the organizations support, as well as concerns over what might lost in large scale restructuring. In addition, the submission outlines specific suggestions for ways the province could engage collaboratively to limit service disruption, maintain strong municipal oversight and create conditions for successful outcomes during the transition process.
