Our Campgrounds

Maple Campground – features both seasonal and overnight camping in a mature wooded area. The Maple Campground offers water and 30-amp electrical hookups on mowed grass sites. There are also four sites with 50-amp electrical hookups. The Maple Campground gets its name from the Sugar Maple trees that dominate the deciduous forest in this section of the Conservation Area.

Cedar Campground – this is our Radio and Audio Prohibited camping area. It offers non-serviced camping on mowed grass sites divided by spruce tree buffers. Why not call it the Spruce Campground? The name refers to the numerous old-growth Eastern White Cedar trees that cling to the limestone cliffs along the lower Maitland River. Some of these trees are over 150 years old but are still only one-metre tall.

Sycamore Campground – offers both seasonal and overnight camping with water and 30 amp electrical hookups on mowed grass sites. Four large pull-through sites have recently been created in this campground. Sycamore Campground derives its name from the tall mature Sycamore trees growing along the Maitland River adjacent to this area. The Sycamore trees are just one of several plant species associated with the Carolinian Forest Region found at Falls Reserve. Although Fall reserve is located well north of the Carolinian Forest Region, these species can survive in the deep valley of the lower Maitland River.

Secluded Tent Campground – this area provides a backcountry experience with front country amenities. These are private, non-serviced sites in a Radio and Audio Free area. There is parking for one vehicle at the front of each site. The sites are walk-in only and the distance ranges from two metres to five metres from your parked vehicle. Only one vehicle and up to four people are permitted to occupy each site. Interested in connecting with nature? These sites are perfect for you. There are a total of seven sites in the Secluded Tent Campground.
