Hunting on Maitland Conservation Properties

Hunting on Maitland Conservation Properties

Hunting is permitted at designated Conservation Areas. A map is posted below indicating the properties that are open for hunting.

Please note that you are required to obtain a permit to hunt on Maitland Conservation lands. Permits are valid for the calendar year of the approved application and provide access to all Maitland Conservation properties where hunting is permitted.

Hunters must have $2 million personal liability insurance (Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters or similar insurance policy) and provide proof of insurance for the application.

2025 Fees:

  • Resident (an applicant who resides or owns property in a member municipality. A municipal list is included on the permit application form posted below): $75.00 plus HST ($84.75 in total)
  • Non -Resident: $125.00 plus HST ($141.25 in total)

 

Hunters must have all appropriate and valid hunting licences and permits (Federal, Provincial, and Municipal). Your Outdoors card MUST be valid until December 31st of the year you are applying for.

All federal and provincial regulations, seasonal and species restrictions, and conservation area rules must be followed.

All hunters must have valid hunting licences and a Maitland Conservation hunting permit in their possession when hunting on Conservation Authority lands.

Applicants must agree to the terms, conditions, and liability waiver for a permit to be approved.
