Wawanosh Park Conservation Area

Situated along the Maitland River this property features easy access to the river and is a good starting of ending point for a canoe trip down the Maitland River. Please note: the park is no longer open for seasonal camping and is now day-use only. A plan is being developed to naturalize campsite locations starting in 2026. Maitland Conservation will manage the area as a day-use facility. This will maintain public access to the existing picnic shelter, river and natural areas for community enjoyment.

A Special Thanks – the seasonal campers at Wawanosh Park Conservation Area were instrumental in the safe and efficient operation of the campground for many years.
